Using Gmail with Lira

What Lira can do

• Search Gmail messages that match your request.
• Read selected Gmail messages.
• List Gmail labels and unread counts.
• Mark messages read or unread, archive messages, restore messages, and apply or remove labels.
• Move messages to trash when you ask Lira to delete them.
• Create or update Gmail drafts.
• Ask for approval before sending a Gmail draft.
• Disconnect the Google account from Lira.

Data and scopes

Lira requests Google account identity scopes to identify the connected account, plus Gmail scopes for message read/search, mailbox organization, and draft compose/send actions. Lira does not request the full mailbox scope because it does not immediately or permanently delete email.

Use of your data

Lira uses Gmail data only to search, read, organize, draft, update, and send email at your request. Lira does not sell this data, use it for ads, or use it to train generalized AI models.

OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. Gmail details may be included in your Lira conversation history when needed to show what Lira did and continue the conversation.

Sending

Lira creates or updates drafts first. Before sending a draft, Lira shows an approval card with the recipient, subject, and body preview that will be sent.

Mailbox changes

Before changing message state, Lira shows an approval card for actions such as marking messages read, archiving, applying labels, moving messages to trash, or restoring messages from trash.

Disconnecting

You can ask Lira to disconnect Google. Lira attempts to revoke the Google token and removes the stored token from active use locally. You can also remove Lira from your Google Account permissions page.
